Who we are:
The Sarasota County Rowing Club is a non-profit corporation which promotes the sport of rowing for adults, men and women. Our rowers range in ages from 23 to 76 and participate in both sculling and sweep rowing, competitively and recreationally.
We row most everyday, mostly in the mornings as early as 6:30 a.m.

Learning to Row?
Come on down to the boatyard (map) and take a look around. Sunday mornings around 8:00 a.m. there are usually many team members milling around after the row. Meet the rowers and see what we are up to.
Can you touch your ankles without bending your knees?
Can you sustain aerobic activity for at least 15 minutes?
Can you lift 35 lbs. over your head?
The boat is narrow, not more than 20", can you fit into it?
Can you swim?
Do you love the water?
Can you bend your knees to the squat position?
Do you love team sports? Rowing is the ultimate team sport!
